AI Assist helps you craft meaningful communication by pulling in employee details and organizational context. You can draft a message for one person, or for several people at once.

Steps

  1. Open the employee's profile.

  2. Click AI Assist in the top-right corner.

  3. (Optional) Add more recipients. Select + Add person, then search for someone by name and select them. Each person you add appears as a chip next to Recipients — select the x on a chip to remove them.

    • Only people with an email address on file can be added.

  4. Enter a clear prompt describing why you're reaching out.

    • Note: The more context you provide in the prompt, the more detailed and tailored the message will be.

  5. Select Draft with AI Assist.

  6. Review the message and edit as needed.

    • Choose a Response Length (Short, Medium, or Long).

    • Use the quick suggestion chips (for example, Provide Recognition, Celebrate work anniversary, or Birthday) to guide the draft.

  7. From the draft, choose an action: Write another, Edit subject, or Send as card, or click Review Email to open the email window.

  8. In the email window, click Send to send now, or Send later to schedule it for a future date. Everyone you added receives the message.

Writing to more than one person

When you add multiple recipients, AI Assist writes one shared email addressed to everyone, and each person receives the same message. Because of that, the draft deliberately leaves out anything private to an individual — personal notes, one-on-one history, or private feedback. If you want to reference something personal, send that person a separate message on their own.
