A self-evaluation is your opportunity to reflect on your professional growth, share accomplishments, and provide context for your evaluator. This article walks you through accessing your self-evaluation, completing each section, uploading supporting artifacts, and submitting the form.
What Is a Self-Evaluation?
A self-evaluation allows you to:
Reflect on your performance across key professional domains
Share strengths, growth areas, and accomplishments
Rate yourself on specific standards using your organization's rubric
Upload supporting artifacts such as lesson plans, certificates, or examples of your work
Your evaluator will review your self-evaluation as part of the professional development and evaluation process.
Accessing Your Self-Evaluation
Steps
When your evaluator requests a self-evaluation, you'll receive an email from Lebra.
Select Complete Self Evaluation in the email.
You'll be taken directly to your self-evaluation form; no login required.
Important notes
Your access link is valid for 60 days.
If the link expires, contact your evaluator to request a new one.
Completing Your Self-Evaluation
Your self-evaluation is organized by domains, each containing multiple standards (components).
Step 1: Review Your Information
At the top of the form, confirm:
If anything looks incorrect, contact your evaluator before continuing.
Step 2: Expand a Domain
Click on a domain to expand it.
Review:
A text box for overall domain-level comments
The list of standards within that domain
Step 3: Add Comments for Each Standard
For each standard:
Read the standard description carefully.
In the Comments box, reflect on how you've demonstrated this standard.
Consider examples from your work
Accomplishments you're proud of
Areas of growth
Goals for continued improvement
Step 4: Select a Rating
Use the rating dropdown to select the level that best reflects your current performance.
Click on the info icon next to the dropdown to view descriptions of each rating level.
Step 5: Upload Supporting Artifacts (Optional)
Artifacts help provide evidence for your self-evaluation and may include:
Lesson plans
Student work samples
Professional development certificates
Project documentation
Photos of classroom activities
To upload artifacts
Scroll to the Artifacts section at the bottom of the form.
Drag and drop files, or click browse your computer.
After uploading, review the auto-generated summary and edit if needed.
File guidelines
Supported formats: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Images (PNG, JPG, GIF), ZIP
Maximum size: 10 MB per file
Saving Your Progress
You don't need to complete your self-evaluation in one sitting.
Steps
Click Save as Draft at the bottom of the form.
Your progress is saved automatically.
Use the same email link to return and continue later.
Submitting Your Self-Evaluation
Steps
Review all comments and ratings.
Ensure each domain and standard has been addressed.
Confirm uploaded artifacts are correct.
Click Submit.
After submitting
You'll see a confirmation message
Your evaluator is notified
You can no longer edit your responses
Make sure everything is complete before submitting.

My link isn’t working—what should I do?
If your link has expired, contact your evaluator and ask them to request a new self-evaluation.
Can I complete this on my phone?
Yes, but for the best experience—especially when uploading files—we recommend using a computer.
How long does it take?
Most self-evaluations take 30–60 minutes, depending on the number of standards and level of detail.
Do I need to rate every standard?
Check with your evaluator for expectations. Completing all sections typically provides the most complete picture.
What happens after I submit?
Your evaluator reviews your self-evaluation and may use it for conferences, evaluations, or professional development planning.
Can I edit after submitting?
No. Once submitted, self-evaluations cannot be changed. Contact your evaluator if you need to address an error.
