Notes in the Lebra mobile app help you record important information about a person, such as meeting observations, reminders, or key details you want to remember. Notes are attached to a person's profile and appear on their Timeline tab. This guide explains how to add, edit, and delete notes.
Add a Note
To add a note about an employee:
Tap the quick menu (+) button on the Home screen or on a person's profile.
Select Add note from the menu.
On the Add note screen, complete the following fields:
Person - Select the person the note is about. If you started from a person's profile, this field is pre-filled.
Note body (required) - Enter the content of your note.
Public note - Check this box if you want the note visible to your entire organization. By default, notes are private and visible only to you.
Important note - Check this box to pin the note at the top of the person's timeline.
Attachments (optional) - Tap to add files by:
Taking a photo
Choosing from your photo library
Selecting a file
Supported file formats include JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, SVG, BMP, PDF, TXT, CSV, and Excel files. Each file must be under 10 MB.
Tap Add note at the bottom of the screen.
The note will appear on the person's Timeline tab under either:
Public Notes and Recognitions, or
Private notes - Only visible to you, depending on the visibility you selected.
Edit a Note
You can edit any note you created.
Steps
Open the person's profile and go to the Timeline tab.
Tap the note you want to edit.
Tap Edit.
Update the following fields as needed:
Note body
Visibility (public or private)
Importance (important note)
Attachments
You can add new attachments or remove existing ones individually.
Note: You cannot change which person the note is attached to.
Tap Save.
Delete a Note
You can delete any note you created.
Steps
Open the note from the person's Timeline tab.
Tap Delete.
Confirm by tapping Delete in the confirmation dialog.
Note: The Edit and Delete options only appear for notes you created.
Best Practices
Use private notes for sensitive information. Notes default to private and are visible only to you.
Mark important notes when needed. Important notes are pinned to the top of the timeline for quick access.
Attach supporting files. Photos, PDFs, and spreadsheets can be attached instead of described.
Add notes soon after interactions. Creating notes immediately helps capture accurate details.
Keep notes concise and actionable. Write notes that you or others can quickly understand and act on later.
