Recognition in Lebra allows you to publicly acknowledge a team member's contributions, achievements, or positive impact. When you send recognition, it creates a record on the employee's timeline. This helps teams build a culture of appreciation and maintain a history of praise that can support performance conversations.

How to Send Recognition

There are two ways to start a new recognition

Option A - From the Quick-Add Menu

  1. Tap the Quick-Add (+) button in the center of the bottom tab bar.

  2. In the Add to Lebra menu, tap Add recognition (star icon).

  3. The Add recognition screen will open.

Option B - From a Person's Profile

  1. Navigate to the employee's profile using the People tab or search.

  2. Tap the + button in the lower-right corner of the profile.

  3. Tap Add recognition from the menu.

Both options open the Add recognition screen.

Add Recognition Details

The Add recognition screen includes two required fields.

Steps

  1. Tap Add person and select the employee you want to recognize.

  2. If you started from a person's profile, this field will already be filled in and cannot be changed.

  3. In the message field, replace the "Start typing..." placeholder with your recognition message.

  4. Once both fields are completed, tap Add recognition.

After submitting, a confirmation message appears that says "Recognition added." You will then return to the previous screen

Editing an Existing Recognition

You can edit recognitions that you previously submitted.

Steps

  1. Open the employee's timeline.

  2. Tap the recognition you want to update.

  3. The screen title will change to Edit recognition.

  4. Update the message text as needed.

  5. Tap Save.

Note: You cannot change the recipient when editing a recognition. Only the message can be updated.

Best Practices

  • Be specific. Describe what the person did and why it mattered.

  • Be timely. Send recognition soon after the event while the context is fresh.

  • Start from the profile. If you already know who you want to recognize, beginning from the employee's profile will pre-fill the recipient field.

  • Review before submitting. Confirm the recipient and message before sending. You can edit the message later, but you cannot change the recipient once the recognition is submitted.
