Video messages let you record a short video right in Lebra and send it by email. Lebra drafts the email text for you from what you say in the video, and your recipients watch it through a secure link — no account or app required.

Note: Video messages must be enabled for your organization. If you don't see the option, contact Lebra support.

Steps

Opening video messages

  1. Select your profile picture in the top-right corner.

  2. Select Video messages.

This page lists everything you've sent, along with the number of video credits your organization has remaining.

Recording your video

  1. Select New video message.

  2. Allow camera and microphone access if your browser asks. If access was previously blocked, select Request access and enable it in your browser settings.

  3. When you see your camera preview, select Start recording.

  4. Record your message. Videos can be up to 1 minute long — a countdown appears while you record, and recording stops automatically at the limit.

  5. Select Stop recording when you're finished.

Reviewing and sending

  1. Play back your video. Select Re-record to try again, or Continue to move on.

  2. Lebra uploads your video and drafts an email based on what you said. This takes a few moments.

  3. Fill in the send window:

    • Recipients — search for people by name, or type an email address directly. Add as many as you need.

    • Subject — edit the drafted subject line.

    • Message — edit the drafted message. Your video thumbnail and a watch link are added below this text automatically.

  4. Select Send to send now, or Send later to schedule it for a future date and time.

Video credits

Sending video messages uses your organization's video credits. The number remaining is shown on the Video messages page and again in the send window.

If your organization runs out of credits, you'll see a message asking you to contact your Lebra admin to add more.

Tracking what you've sent

Each message on the Video messages page shows a status:

  • Draft — started but not yet sent

  • Scheduled — queued to send at the time you chose

  • Sent — delivered to your recipients

  • Failed — something went wrong; try sending again

What your recipients see

Recipients get an email with your message, a thumbnail of your video, and a link to watch it. Selecting the link opens the video in their browser.

Note: Watch links expire after a period of time for security. If someone tells you their link has expired, send them a new video message.
